Nies. I don't have a comparison, but he's acting like he did when he was a werewolf.
It's not much to go on, but he gave someone a temporary majority in the most nonchalant manner I can think of. It's just a pet theory, but it's the best I got for now.
I'm switching to Nies. It's better then a random vote for "Don't Panic".

Okay, now I might end up being branded as an Apple apologist for this, but this thread is bugging me.
Really, people, lighten up! It's like the corner of the carpet is smoking a little bit and people start shouting about how the whole house is about to burn down.
Now, certainly, these issues should be looked at with all due diligence. But do you honestly think that Apple isn't? Do you honestly think that Apple has simple ignored security all this time? Certainly not. The fact that OS X is as secure as it is clearly shows that Apple has done a good job so far. Now, maybe we've crossed an invisible barrier on the scale of the visibility of the platform, and now a lot more people are trying to target OS X, so more vulnerabilities are being found. But, there really is a big difference between a vulnerability and an exploit in the wild. iAdware is the closest thing to a true exploit I've heard of to date, and we don't even know what kind of vector it uses to get itself installed.
So, really, lay off the heavy handed "Apple has to start paying attention to security" nonsense. The implication that Apple hasn't been paying attention to security is just irritating, to say the least.

"...to ensure our continued innovation..."
Ripping-off other companies' UI's is "innovation" now?
Samsung is such a pathetic company. They make nice TVs but still pathetic.
Right, it's like Apple researched every mobile technology by itslef without infringing anyone's patent.

Anyone else find these stories on market share to be completely boring?!?
Can MacRumors setup a Page 3 section to put these on and keep the interesting rumors on the first page (new Macs, new iOS, etc)?
Until Apple announces they are stopping production of the iPhone due to low sales.....I don't care who sells the most.

For the "why only MBP's and not MB's too"
As said, less press coverage, but also maybe more important is that now there is a gap between the [rosumer line and the consumer line ;)
Is that good or bad..?

3rd party apps crash, all of the them  The standard Apple apps still work.
Terrible update.
Some apps, like Wikipedia, crash immediately after you try launching them. Not all 3rd party apps crash, but many do. Do NOT install this update!

$1000 worth of a beating he'd get if i were his parent. Luckily for kids, i hate them and would never have one. Ever.
That's fortunate for humankind. But would you have kids if you can put a tattoo on them like you have on yourself? Children have a surprisingly large area on their back. You could fit a bunch of corporate logos on them.

the release date doesnt matter imo. i just need 4G, new design, new features and better specs and im good to go...
android is dropping a 4g phone every month... apple needs to stop beating around the bush
It's so true.
Apple can be very slow to adapt to modern technologies.
Apple still doesn't offer 3G connectivity in their MBP's . That's pretty pathetic. For all their claims of superiority, its actually just smoke and mirrors. PC laptops have had that for years while Apple remains in the dark ages.

I use Pages almost exclusively for writing documentation. We originally used Word, then moved to InDesign (my background was 8 years working in layout with Quark), and then to Pages. Pages just works better for long docs than ID and Word. I love it.
My only two beefs with Pages is the fact that its toolset is everywhere. You've got some toolbars which only really get you to some space hogging side views and inspectors which take up tons of space just for the one or two things I need to hit. Second, it needs a built in macro language - even if its based off AppleScript (i.e. an AS menu would do then). Having AppleScript support but not accessible within the app itself makes it much harder to deal with.
For example when I put in a graphic, I want to make it 2'' wide, shadow, move with text, wrap to the left with a black border. That's 4-5 panels I have to go through each time I add a pic. I add about 50 or so pics per doc.
So first I'd love if they could organize the menus, toolbars, inspectors, and such a lot better. Its just so haphazard. Next the ability to script repetitive actions.
Oh and speed. Even on my 2.16Ghz MBP its slow. Word 2007 (even in beta) is lightyears faster.

Is it possible that they would make a phone that would cover both AT&T's and T-Mobile's bands? AT&T could really combat the coverage problems they've had on the west coast with that, correct?

Don't forget, ALL consoles lose money when they first ship.
Nintendo never sold any console at a loss.
I tend to agree with you, but that is just business, and Microsoft is good at it. If we want to point fingers, point them at the consumers. The only reason Microsoft still pours money into things is because people will still buy their products. Microsoft also uses their position of having a large amount of disposable cash. If their product sucks, people won't buy it, and Microsoft suffers.
If that were true, Microsoft would never have been able to survive after Windows 95.
If a product sucks but almost everyone else is using it, most people will use it too.

If there is a physical difference, I find it strange that Apple A) wouldn't publish the numbers, and B) wouldn't provide specific sized bumpers for the white.

The 17" is cheaper by the way if you opt for the 100GB drive. In the last revision you didn't get a price drop on it. Now you do. With a higher education discount I could get a beast of a machine for the price of a 15" MBP.

What makes you think you can call people stupid???
If you paid hundreds of dollars for a hack job that voided your warranty that's now rumored to be made obsolete by a free offering from Apple, you'd lose it too :D
