this app is made by macrumors member cougar so we're giving him a little exposure. Anyone else in the forums that develops freeware, submit it and (assuming the app works and is worthwhile) I'll probably post it. :)

For those who cannot give blood, I understand that feeling as I'm in that group with 2 cases of cancer. Before I was diagnosed I did give a few (too few) times and wish I had given more.
For those who can give blood, I've seen the huge need. My wife had acute leukemia (ALL) and over 18 months of chemo was in desperate need of blood 10 times. Fortunately the blood & platelets were available when needed.
After that experience I felt I should have given more, but have no hesitation asking you to give a few units.

That ability is there. But rather than give its customers a choice of opting in, FT would rather sell your information without your approval.

WRONG! FCP is definitely not the industry standard. It gained a lot of traction in market share from Avid but has since regressed its gains over the last several years.I agree even though I loathe Avid and its Technical support :P
Were stuck with Avid and we do what we can without their support.
We also use FCP but presently at a lower stage in the production pipeline.
However, our RED One delivery is trickling in (worse delivery ever) and now in the process of testing a the Red Rocket in a Mac Pro loaded with FCP3.
Hope it all goes well.

For one thing, we don't know where it's been. ;) :D
I meant I had been on better behavior recently (actually reporting stuff rather than dropping in a macro and running), and that that could be looked upon as "kissing up" to current admins. I didn't mean for people to kiss up to me :)

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
The timing of all these "bitching" posts just seems suspicious.
I was wondering whether these issues only apply to people who JB their phones? Or perhaps there is some particular app that they all have installed doesn't agree with 4.3.1.

Do you mean in "Events"? Maybe you clicked on "Photos" in the top right under "Library". Click on "Events" and see if everything is organized the way it was before...

Congrats to the four new Mods. I think it's safe to say they're all universally respected members of the forum and are great choices.
With MR becoming ever more popular it has become harder to effectively moderate these boards, especially with the international flavour we've got going on here! I'm sure the new Mods will do a great job and will keep the MR community spirit going. Congrats again guys :)

Seems like every time I update iOS I get the cable image on my iPhone and I have to do a complete restore. It always seems like I have to do a few strange steps and I don't always get all my apps back.

iPod scrollwheel and interface, end of story. There are music playing phones out there, but their interfaces are all clunky compared to the iPod. I think the idea with the iPhone will be that when you are not using the phone features, you can use it just like the iPod. Which probably means that it will be a slider phone (like the LG Chocolate except with a real scrollwheel instead of a face one), but we'll see.
this conversation to me sounded more like we were talking about the iPhone2 or whatever needing NEW FEATURES to make it stand out from the crowd even more. i agree that the iPod interface would make the phone experience more familiar to a lot of people and the mp3 player portion much much better then all the mp3 phones out all ready, but its not something new that the other mp3 phones don't already do.
